Fishing Sale 2018

Kind friends and supporters of the Wessex Chalk Stream & Rivers Trust have very generously donated some exciting and rarely available fishing days for the Trust to sell in order to raise much needed funds.

Many of these fabulous fishing days are on private or club waters, which cannot normally be accessed by the general public - so a real opportunity for keen fishermen and women in 2018!

Location and description Minimum price

A day's fishing for 1 or 2 rods on the River Test at Chilbolton - on the main river adjoining the southern boundary of Chilbolton Common. Date by arrangement. 

A day for 1 or 2 rods, fishing together, for trout and grayling on any of the Piscatorial Society waters on the River Avon, Itchen, Test or Wylye, excluding the Grange Estate beats on the Itchen. This is some of the best chalk stream fishing and is very rarely available to non-members. The winning bidder will be hosted by a member of the Society's fisheries team. Other rods may be fishing at the same time. Upstream dry fly or unweighted nymph, catch & release. July onwards, 2018 season. 
A day's fishing for trout on the Itchen on a date to be confirmed before the end of June for 4 rods on Beats 1 & 2 of the Grange Estate Main River and Shallows beats, which includes the very wild Lovington Carrier. Fishing is upstream dry fly or unweighted nymph only. Environment Agency fishing license required. 
£150 per rod - £600

A rare opportunity for non-members to fish for trout on the Salisbury and District Angling Club waters during the Mayfly. 1 day for 2 rods. Beats on Rivers Avon, Wylye, Nadder, Bourne and Abble. Dates may include weekends, by arrangement.
A day for 2 rods on the Longford Estate fishery (game or coarse) on a date to be agreed with the river keeper.
